Elizabeth Perkins Joins Preacher

According to Deadline, Elizabeth Perkin (Weeds) has been cast for a co-starring role AMC live action adaptation of the DC Imprint Vertigo comic book series Preacher.

Perkins will be playing Vyla Quinncannon, a genteel but formidable businesswoman who owns the local slaughterhouse in Annville. Ambitious, strong-willed and terrifying, Vyla shares a past with Jesse’s father which gives her a singular hold over Jesse.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This is The End, Neighbors, The Interview) are directing and as well as writing along with Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad), meanwhile James Weaver (This is The End, Neighbors, The Interview) will oversee the series.
