FOX has officially renewed Gotham for a second season, the network officially made the announcement earlier this morning at the Television Critics Association press tour.
This news should not come as any surprise for anyone who’s been following Gotham and its ratings, as the show has killed it during its first half of its season in ratings, being ranked the second highest rated network newcomer show.
5.43 million adults 18-49; 10.73 million viewers overall — Giving its network a much-needed shot in the arm, this Batman prequel opened big in September and has been one of the fall’s most consistent performers ever since. It is the season’s third biggest DVR gainer in 18-49 among broadcast dramas, lagging only “How to Get Away With Murder” and “The Blacklist,” and is the top-rated broadcast drama in men 18-34.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8/7c on FOX.
