The FOX Television network has confirmed that the fifth season of the Batman origin story, Gotham will have its fifth season be its final one next television season.
The network has ordered a 13-episode season looking to have it air as a mid-season series on the network, but the network doesn’t confirm exactly when it’ll premieres. It’s also said that the last season will focus on Bruce Wayne’s transformation into Batman.
The producers of the series had this to say about the fifth and final season of the Gotham:
“The fifth and final season will wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-villains and vigilantes, which revealed an entirely new chapter that has never been told.”
The last episode of the fourth season of Gotham, titled A Dark Knight: No Man’s Land will air on Thursday, May 17th, on FOX.
