According to Omega Underground, the production for the second installment to Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot as the title character will begin this month on May 28th.
Omega Underground goes on to say that the movie will start shooting at the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England, which will have the cast and crew back in the same filming location as the first installment of the Amazon warrior princess.
This news goes with what director Patty Jenkins confirmed on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, when she was asked when the production for Wonder Woman 2 will start, Jenkins responded with “shockingly soon”.
The season installment will take place in the 1980’s and will follow Diana (Gal Gadot) finally coming to America for the first time and will have Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) as the main villain.
Wonder Woman 2 releases in theaters on November 1st, 2019.
