Greg Berlanti who was one of the screenplay writers on the Green Lantern film from 2011, spoke on his experience with the film during a panel at the Paley Center.
Berlanti spoke a bit about what happened with the film when it came to his script, when explaining his return to Warner Bros. after his departure from the studio:
I participated in a film called Green Lantern, which wasn’t the best experience for me, for number of reasons. It wasn’t really sort of what I’ve seen and written in my head, it was kind of taken from us, somebody, everybody sort did something very different with it.
