Greg Berlanti Says As Of Now Booster Gold Isn’t Connected to the DC Extended Universe

Greg Berlanti  in an interview with Vulture, went on to say that the Booster Gold movie as of now isn’t connected to the other DC Extended Universe films, that the film will be a separate thing.

“As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds, it’d be a separate thing.”

This is an interesting quote, because last year a similar thing was stated on Shazam not being apart of the same world as the Justice League members by New Line president Toby Emmerich, which put into question if Shazam which was previously stated to be part of the DC Extended Universe, was then decided to be removed. Until last month when Shazam co-producer Dany Garcia, went on to confirm the film will in fact be in the same world as the other DC Extended Universe films.

Another point, Booster Gold has already been hinted at in Man of Steel, with Blaze Comics easter egg, which is the comic book publisher known for publishing the Booster Gold comics in the DC Universe.

In the same interview Berlanti also spoke on a Booster Gold television show idea he was working on with longtime collaborator Andrew Kreisberg that “never got off the ground”, which then led to Berlanti and Kreisberg  talk with DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns in making a movie off of the character.
