Warner Bros. is officially the first studio to make two superhero movies make over $300 million in the domestic box office within the same year.
As of this week Suicide Squad crossed to $300 million domestically, while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice finished its theatrical run with $330 million. This is great news for the DC Extended Universe moving forward as a franchise, as the domestic box office is important, as it’s the biggest market box office wise for films.
This news was brought to our attention by Twitter user Bill Meeks, in a very sarcastic matter… but nevertheless, after looking into it, it’s true.
