According to Film Music Reporter, Hildur Gudnadottir has been hired on by Warner Bros. to score the upcoming Joker standalone origin movie starring Joaquin Phoenix as the title role, with Todd Phillips directing.
Gudnadottir previous scoring credits includes Sicario: Day of the Soldado and Mary Magdalene, Strong Island and A Hijacking, along with the HBO television series Chernobyl.
The Joker movie is based reportedly set in Gotham City in the early 1980s, no other plot details have been announced as of yet.
Joker is set to be released on October 4, 2019.
