Joaquin Phoenix who’s playing The Joker in the standalone origins movie on the character, directed by Todd Phillips, that’s completely unrelated to Jared Leto’s Joker from Suicide Squad, was recently interviewed during his press junket for the latest movie The Sisters Brothers.
In the interview Phoenix, goes on to talk on the pressure and the big expectation people may have when it comes to him playing the ironic Batman villain, in which Phoenix goes on to say he could care less.
“I could care less,” he said. “I don’t really think that much about what people think. Who cares, who cares? My approach to every movie is the same. What I’m interested in is the filmmaker and the idea of the character.”
The Joker standalone origin movie is set to be released on October 4, 2019.
