James Gunn Says He Loved Writing Harley Quinn In The Suicide Squad

As previously reported, The Suicide Squad director James Gunn yesterday was doing a Q&A with fans through his official Instagram account and one of the questions that were asked was to pick between Harley Quinn or The Joker, in which Gunn went to say that he loves The Joker but Harley Quinn is one of his favorite characters that he’s ever written.

Gunn goes on to say that in fact, Harley is probably his favorite comic book character whose personality was well defined before he had to write for her on screen. Which makes sense, as Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie has already appeared on screen twice before, in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad and Cathy Yan Birds of Prey.

The Suicide Squad is slated to be released in theaters on August 6th, 2021.
