The Suicide Squad Isn’t A Direct Sequel

As previously reported, The Suicide Squad director James Gunn was doing a Q&A with fans through his official Instagram account and during the session, a fan asked if they had to watch David Ayer’s Suicide Squad which released in 2016, to understand his movie, in which Gunn went on to confirm that one doesn’t have to watch it to understand his upcoming movie.

The Suicide Squad is slated to be released in theaters on August 6th, 2021.
