At the moment Shazam doesn’t have a director, but Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, revealed that Shazam is the DC Comics movie from its slate, that he would have loved to have done if he was able to.
He stated this after he was asked by a fan via his official facebook account, about which of the DC Comics films he would want to work on.
“I am precluded. Would have loved to have done Shazam.”
Shazam set to release on April 5, 2019.
