Aquaman director James Wan, who’s also on-board as an Executive Producer for Swamp Thing, went on to Twitter to confirm his involvement with the series that’ll be streaming on the DC Comics streaming service now officially titled DC Universe.
Wan goes on to say that he’s been developing the series for a while now with a great team and is happy to finally share the news. As to what fans can expected from the series, Wan goes on to say–mood, mystery, gothic romance, and swamp monsters!

Moments afterwards, Wan goes on to reply to a fan’s question when asked if they’ll be any signature horror elements, by stating “Damn straight. More horror than anything.”

Swamp Thing is set to release sometime in 2019 on DC Universe.
