Jared Leto’s Joker Will Appear in Birds of Prey

According to the latest on-set photos from Cathy Yan’s production Birds of Prey, which is being filmed at the moment in Los Angeles, it shows Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in what looks like the filming of a breakup scene between herself and Jared Leto’s Joker from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. As what’s seen in the images is The Joker throwing Harley’s belongings out the window, as she escapes from the house. 

In the set photos The Joker’s face can’t be seen, but going by the overall style of the character that seen, it’s clear whomever is standing in as The Joker, is styled after Leto’s Joker from Suicide Squad.

At the moment Leto is in the United Kingdom filming Sony’s Morbius, but the same day these on-set photos were release, Leto went on to his Snapchat and shared a memory from two years ago, which is simply of a clown emoji. This now has led fans to speculate he might actually be appearing in the film or at least will lend his voice for the scene that’s being shot.

Birds of Prey releases in theaters on February 7, 2020.
