The Batman director Matt Reeves officially confirms on his social media the casting of Jeffrey Wright as Gotham City’s Commissioner, James Godon. Reeves simplied tweeted the hashtag Godon with an emoji of a bat and than a gif of Wright mouthing “Tweet something”.

The Emmy and Golden Globe winner will best be known by comic book fans for his work in the HBO television series Westworld and The Hunger Games movies.
The Batman is slated to be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
