Joss Whedon attended the red carpet premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 last night, and during his time on it, he was interviewed by Variety in which spoke on how he’s excitement to see a girl in the cowl, in hand officially confirming he is in fact directing the standalone Batgirl movie.
During the interview Whedon was then asked if he has any names in mind to play the role, in which Whedon says that he doubts that it’ll be a named actor, that they’ll first have to get their Batgirl before he they get an actor.
