Justice League Becomes the First DC Comics Movie to Cross $100 Million in China

Justice League officially becomes the first DC Comics film ever to cross $100 million at the Chinese box office, this is an accomplishment that most DC films were never able to success at for different factors. 

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came close by grossing $95.7 there, while the other high grossing DC Films that could had most likely been able to get close to that mark, where rejected to be released in China like The Dark Knight and Suicide Squad, while the The Dark Knight Rises which grossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office for Warner Bros., was only able to do $52 million.

As big and important the Chinese market is, it’s also one of the foreign markets that takes the highest percentage from the American studios in distribution, upwards to 75% from the box office returns, in other words, out of the $100 million Justice League made, Warner Bros. will only pocket $25 million.

But this is an accomplishment to be proud of nonetheless.
