Justice League drops into second place at the domestic box office for its second weekend, coming in with $40.7 million for the 3-day weekend and $60.7 million for the five-day Thanksgiving Holiday, which leaves the film with $171.5 million domestically.
Disney’s Coco topped the domestic box office with $49 million, leading Justice League to have a 57% drop from opening to second weekend, which in the positive side is better than the drops seen by Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, which may mean the word-of-mouth can be seen as being stronger in the case for Justice League.
As for the foreign market, Justice League made $72.2 million this weekend, leading its total to $309.8 million in the international market and $481.3 million in the overall worldwide box office.
At the rate Justice League is going at the domestic box office, it’s looking to come short of Man of Steel $291 million, which still stands as the lowest gain domestically for DC Films, as Justice League at the current time is being projected to come in for its final number at $240 million for the it’s full domestic run.
