As we perviously reported, director Ava DuVernay (Selma, A Wrinkle in Time) has come onboard to helm the latest announced DC Comics movie The New Gods, based on the DC Comics creation by Jack Kirby in February 1971.
Deadline was the first to report the news and seems like when they originally wrote the article they didn’t release all the information approached to their exclusive reporting.
Such information was who Warner Bros. hired on to write the movie’s screenplay, that information was later added into the article by Deadline, where they went on to confirm that screenplayer writer Kario Salem (The Rat Pack, The Score, Chasing Mavericks) will craft the narrative for the movie, while also working closely with DuVernay.
With a director and writer onboard for The New Gods, we can only hope the process of this film from early development into full on production, can come sooner than later.
