Keanu Reeves who played John Constantine in the 2005 movie Constantine, went on to state in a recent interview with ComicBook.com for his latest movie John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, that he always wanted to play Constantine again, because he loves the world the story takes place in and the character.
“I’ve always wanted to play John Constantine again,” Reeves said. “I just love that world, too, and I love that character. I just had a blast playing a character and [playing] in that world.”
Even though the movie was panned by critics and wasn’t a success in theaters, earning just $230 million on a $100 million budget, which is a considerable failure at the box office, the film still managed to grain a cult following over the years, mainly because people’s love for Reeves in the role.
There’s no word if Warner Bros. has any interest in taking another shot with a Constantine movie, though as we’ve previously reported many times through the past few years, a Justice League Dark movie has been in development for awhile now over at Warner Bros. and Constantine is one of the main character within that series of comics, maybe it’s possible Reeves can reprise his role in that matter?
