Robert Pattinson who’s in talks to play Batman/Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’s The Batman, is currently at the Cannes Film Festival for his latest movie The Lighthouse, during an interview at the Vanity Fair party was ready to avoid answering any question regarding his pending deal with Warner Bros. to play Batman in The Batman.
When asked on the news of him being in talk to play the Dark Knight, Pattinson simply answered with a smile:
“I am only answering questions about ‘The Lighthouse'”
As we previously reported, a representative for Warner Bros. confirmed through the news network CNN that no deal was made with Pattinson for the role, as it seems like they’re still in negotiation process, while entertainment news site Deadline reported that Pattinson and along with actor Nicholas Hoult are both on the short list of who the studio and director Matt Reeves are eyeing to play the bat.
The Batman set to release in theaters on June 25, 2021.
