The FOX television network has begun to announce what television series will continue for their Fall season and sadly the DC Comics imprint Vertigo comic based television series by the same name Lucifer, that made it to its third season on the network has been officially canceled.
Show runner Joe Henderson went on to Twitter to confirm the cancellation, while expressing how disappointed he is by it.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn’t begin to describe.

Hopefully Warner Bros. can shop the series to another network, as it does have a following and crew, along with the actors have a strong passion for the series and don’t want to see it let go, such as lead actor Tom Ellis, who plays the title character Lucifer:
It has been the most amazing experience over the past 3 years playing Lucifer and falling in love with you, the fans. It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys. #gutted
