The DC/Vertigo comic book character Lucifer, has been officially picked up to pilot by FOX as a live action television adaption according to Bleeding Cool.
Last year, Fox commissioned a “put pilot” for a TV series from Warner Bros based on the DC Vertigo series Lucifer, by Mike Carey and Peter Gross, itself based on the character developed by Neil Gaiman on Sandman. That means the network promises that the pilot will air, or pay a stiff penalty. It is to be showrun by Californication‘s Tom Kapinos.
Well, according to good sources, the pilot has been approved, and greenlit.
Described as a slice-of-life drama in, out of Hell and into Los Angeles, it looks like Satan is coming to prime time again pretty soon…
