Margot Robbie who played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad and will be reprising her role in Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2 and the not officially confirmed or announced Joker and Harley Quinn spin-off, recently spoke with Female First regarding the Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn relationship.
Robbie goes on to say that the love story between the two character has to end in flames, then goes on to say that their relationship is romantic in a messed up way.
“Their love story has to end in flames! It has to, it just wouldn’t be right. I’m personally a sucker for a love story. In any iteration. I think people enjoy seeing two characters who, in Harley and Joker’s case, would die for one another. It’s kind of romantic in a messed up way.”
Warner Bros. has yet to confirm a release date for Gotham City Sirens and Suicide Squad 2.
