The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that sources have informed them that Matt Reeves who was recently reported to be negotiations with Warner Bros. to helm the solo Batman film, has exited talks with the studio after a week of negotiations.
Though The Hollywood Reporter sources, does say that negotiations might resume once things cool down between the two parties. As right now Reeves is in heavy post-production for his War for the Planet of the Apes.
According to the report, other directors are also being courted for the position, such as Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, The Martian) and Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead).
