Paul Dano has signed on as the classic Batman villain The Riddler for Matt Reeves’ The Batman, as officially announced by Warner Bros studios. According to reports, Dano’s version of the character will be named Edward Nashton, the man who will then later go by the name Edward Nygma and adopts the villainous persona of The Riddler.
Dano’s impressive movie credits include Love and Mercy, Prisoners, 12 Years a Slave, There Will Be Blood, Little Miss Sunshine,Youth and Okja. Dano will star opposite to Robert Pattinson, who will be playing Batman and Zoe Kravitz as the anti-heroine Catwoman.
The Batman has already began its per-production and is set to start production this Fall into early next year in London.
The Batman is slated to be released in theaters on June 25th, 2021.
