American actor Peter Sarsgaard has been officially casted in a role in Matt Reeves’s The Batman, as the director himself went on to his official Twitter account by confirming Sarsgaard’s casting much like he did with the casting of Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred and John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone.
The only difference with this announcement is that Reeves did not disclose who Sarsgaard will be playing opposite Robert Pattinson as the title character of Batman in the film. Though fans are speculating that he’ll be playing Harvey Dent, as rumors has it Two-face is suppose to be in the movie.

The Batman is slated to be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
