Production Designer Beth Mickle who’s best known for her work on Nicolas Winding Refn’s movie Drive and Only God Forgives is now onboard to design James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. Mickle was also previously attached to be the production designer for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 for Marvel Studios, prior to Gunn’s firing of the movie, which he’s now been rehired for.
Mickle was also attached as production designer for the solo The Flash movie, before it stalling out before moving forward into production.
The Suicide Squad is set to start production this year in the Fall with returning cast of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Idris Elba as a new character that has yet to be disclosed.
The Suicide Squad releases in theaters on August 6th, 2021.
