David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! officially passes $300 million at the worldwide box office after three weeks, with the official number being $322.8 million as of this weekend.
With a production budget of $90 million and some reports stating the budget as high as $100 million, the movie has already broken even regardless what budget you decide to go with that’s been reported by the entertainment trade news sites.
Shazam! after passing $250 million is making only profit for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema. At this point a sequel is a for sure thing, as the home video sales will only add to the movie’s already financial success at the box office.
