Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have officially announced that the sequel to David F. Sandberg’s hit Shazam! is confirmed and will be slated for release on April 1st, 2022.
According to the reports, Zachary Levi will reprise the title character of Shazam, which was a given, while director David F. Sandberg will return to helm the film, while screen player writer Henry Gayden will once again wite the latest draft for the latest installment.
Shazam! will be the third DC Comics and first movie to be released in theater in 2022, followed by The Flash starring Ezra Miller as the title character on July 1st and than ending the year with the second installment to James Wan’s mega hit Aquaman starring Jason Momoa, which is slated for December 22nd.
