Suicide Squad director David Ayer confirms through his Twitter account that his film has officially cross $600 Million at the worldwide box office, while also thanking everyone who’s made the film such a success at the box office.
Suicide Squad hasn’t officially been in theaters for a full three weeks and it has already gross more than half a billion dollars for Warner Bros.
Now we sit and wait for a sequel to be announced by the studio, at this point the film has already done more than broke even for the studio. As confirmed by Mark Hughes of Forbes, the film needed to make $600 million to be considered a real success for the studio and the film still having at least 9 more weeks (give or take) in the cinema, Warner Bros. will surely be pocketing a good profit from the film during the rest of its threatical run.
@SuicideSquadWB 600 million worldwide! Thank you to everyone for making this a success! @WarnerBrosEnt
