The Dark Knight and A History of Violence, both which are films based on a comic book character or graphic novels under division of DC Comics or imprint Vertigo Comics, have been listed on the 100 Greatest Films of the 21st Century by BBC.
BBC polled 177 critics from every continent except Antarctica, to pick a list of the greatest films of the 21st Century that are considered new classics that are destined to become old classics years into the future.
The Dark Knight came in at #33 and A History of Violence at #59:
