According to Omega Underground which is rarely wrong with their scoops, the production for the sequel to Suicide Squad will return to Toronto, Canada, much like the original movie and David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! which is now in production in Toronto.
As it was recently revealed Birds of Prey will be taking the Suicide Squad sequel production placement, as Warner Bros. seems to want to introduce Batgirl in Birds of Prey first, before her standalone.
Gavin O’Connor (Warrior) is set to direct the Suicide Squad sequel, which doesn’t have an official title, announced cast, production or release date as of yet, but it’s speculated the movie might start filming sometime in the Winter or Spring of 2019.
