According to Mark Hughes of Forbes, the box office results for Suicide Squad for this third week were very good, as it only had a 32% drop in the oversea box office this week, while having the smallest drops for its third weekend among the comic book films released this year, with a 52% drop.
By the end of its fourth week, Suicide Squad will cross over to $600 million at the worldwide box office, with it being very possible to make $650 million or more in its overall run, even without China. With it being a for sure thing to make over $300 million at the domestic box office.
Hughes went to twitter to report these numbers, while reassuring fans that Suicide Squad is in fact a hit and that it will get a sequel.
Warner Bros. hasn’t confirmed a sequel at the moment, but it’s no secret that it will, as it clearly turned a profit with the first installment, and movie studios are always opened for more business with a franchise when it makes them money.
#SuicideSquad fell only 36% from last weekend overseas, & its 52% domestic dip is one of the smallest of 2016 for comic films. $572M so far.

#SuicideSquad should be on track to do $650+M or more now, even w/o China box office.
