CBS has officially picked-up Supergirl for a full season, which couldn’t come as much of a surprise for anyone who’s been closely following the ratings, that only five episodes into its first season, it would be given a full season pickup by the network.
With only five episodes, the series already stands as the third top rated show on the CBS network, behind the monster hits such as NCIS and The Big Bang Theory, the latter which has also been officially renewed.
With Supergirl averaging 11.24 million viewers a week since it premiered on October 26th, it receiving a full season pickup with a total of 20 episodes is completely warranted.
Congratulations to Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment and of course Greg Berlanti, for having another hit on their hands!
