CBS has released their Episode Orders for their 2015/2016 Television lineup and they have Supergirl listed for Season 1 as 13 episodes.
This is odd, as many assumed Supergirl was clearly picked up from the get go as a full Season pick-up, though 13 episodes is normal for a new series, as a back 9 will be put in place once the show proves itself to the network, which again many assumed this was already a non-issue for Supergirl due to the hype behind the series.
Guess this is a network standard procedure for new shows regardless.
Code Black – Season 1 – 13 episodes
Criminal Minds – Season 11 – 22 episodes
2 Broke Girls – Season 5 – 22 episodes
The Big Bang Theory – Season 9 – 24 episodes
Mom – Season 3 – 22 episodes
Person of Interest – Season 5 – 15 episodes
Rush Hour – Season 1 – 13 episodes
Supergirl – Season 1 – 13 episodes
Mike & Molly – Season 6 – 13 episodes
