According to The Batman director Matt Reeves in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the first solo Batman movie for the DC Extended Universe which currently still remains being titled The Batman , went on state that he and Warner Bros. is looking to slate the movie’s release date to for a late Spring or Summer date in 2021.
What’s your goal as far as a release date?
We haven’t been dated. I wouldn’t commit to this, but we’re thinking the movie would probably be for 2021, late spring or summer. Warner Bros. has been incredibly supportive and given me a lot of time and shared the same passion that I do for this story.
Which if this is true, this means the reports of the movie going into production in the middle to later this year are true. Of course even if the movie goes into production this year, a 2021 release date might change, much like the 2019 release date for Wonder Woman 1984 was changed to 2020, even though the movie went into production earlier last year.
