After the success of the James Wan’s Aquaman, which swam to over $1 billion in the Worldwide box office, it’s in no way surprising that sequel will soon be in the works, Warner Bros. has officially announced a release date for the second installment.
Aquaman 2, which still doesn’t have an official title, will be releasing in theaters the same month the first movie saw amazing results at the box office and that’s in December on the date of 16th in 2022.
There’s no official word if director James Wan will be returning in the director’s chair for the sequel, but fans can only hope that he’ll continue on with the franchise after delivering such a creative adaptation to Aquaman’s long-time and current underwater adventures in the first movie.
At the moment very little to known for the storyline for the sequel and who’ll be officially returning in their roles, outside of course of Jason Momoa as Aquaman. We still have three years before the movie releases in theaters, stay tune as we update with the development of the film.
