According to sources close to the Variety, Will Smith will no longer play the character of Deadshot in James Wan’s follow-up movie to David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.
The sources to the trade site states the reason Smith will not be reprising his role is due to scheduling conflicts, but that the decision was made with no hard feelings from either party.
Many fans will agree that Will Smith was one of the stand-outs in Ayer’s Suicide Squad, and will be sadden to see him not returning to franchise.
The first movie made $746 million at the box office world-wide box office, so his return isn’t due to a failed movie. Till this moment, Smith has yet to comment on his departure from the role.
