BREAKING NEWS: Warner Bros has officially announced today that Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne will be starring in David Aryer’s Suicide Squad, is set to start filming in April of 2015, in Toronto Canada and release in theaters on August 5th, 2016.
Not only did they officially announce the actors in the film, they’ve also officially announced who each of them will be playing:
Jared Leto is The Joker
Will Smith is Deadshot
Tom Hardy is Rick Flagg
Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn
Jai Courtney is Captain Boomerang
Cara Delevingne is Enchantress
The team behind the film have also been announced. David Ayer is writing the script as well as directing, Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are producing, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns will be exclusive producers.
As for Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, who’s been rumored for a while to be in the film, is not part of the official announcement. But a cameo in the film hasn’t been ruled out as of yet.
We here are on cloud nine over this casting, they couldn’t have done a better job with the actors they choose for the Suicide Squad.
