Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman becomes the top-selling DC Extended Universe movie on Blu-Ray, surpassing Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, with which previously held the top spot with 3,312,939 units sold, rounding up consumer spending of $68,517,898 since its November 12th, 2013 Blu-Ray release.
At the moment Wonder Woman ranks #19 for all-time best-selling Blu-Ray out of 50 titles on the list, as the top-seller in the United States with 3,332,833 units sold, rounding up a consumer spending of $88,353,190 since it’s August 29th, 2017 Blu-Ray release date.
What makes Wonder Woman’s numbers so impressive when comparing them to Man of Steel’s numbers, is that there’s a four-year difference between both movie’s releases date and Wonder Woman managed to surpass Man of Steel’s numbers within two years of its release.
In other words, the numbers will simply continue to increase, more so when the second installment Wonder Woman 1984 starts its marketing campaign.
Wonder Woman 1984 releases in theaters on June 5, 2020.
