Yahya Abdul-Mateen Possibly Playing Black Manta in Aquaman

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively breaks the news that Yahya Abdul-Mateen, who’s best known for playing Cadillac on the Netflix’s original series The Get Down, is officially in talks to play the supervillains Black Manta in James Wan’s Aquaman.

The reports states that director James Wan and Warner Bros. were meeting with many actors for the past two weeks, settling on Abdul-Mateen his past weekend, with the official offer going out on Monday, with now the director, studio and actor are in talks.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as the titled character and is set to hit theaters on October 5th, 2018.
