This news will make many original DC Extended Universe fans happy, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League director Zack Snyder and wife Deborah Snyder will be serving as producers and executive producers for the upcoming James Gunn directed Suicide Squad sequel.
They will be joined by Charles Roven and Peter Safran as producers, who have worked with the Zack on many of the past DCEU movies.
This goes to show that Snyder isn’t done with the DCEU, it also important to note that Snyder and Gunns are friends who worked on the sucessful remake of Dawn of the Dead back in 2004, Gunn as the screenplay writer and Snyder as director.
The Suicide Squad is slated to be released on August 6th 2021.
