Could Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Get an R Rated Home Video Release?

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice receiving Rated PG-13 upon its theatrical release on March 25, 2016 was no surprise, but if it’s to be believed, we maybe getting an R-Rated version of the film when it hits home video.

Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder has had only two previous films, which were Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, and Man of Steel, that have not been given an Extended or Unrated Cut released, while 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead and Sucker Punch have all received more violent Extended or Unrated Cut versions of their theatrical counterparts, so it’s not out of the realm of possibilities.

Keep in mind Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this, but producer Charles Roven has said in the past it’s likely a longer cut for Batman v Superman will be released for home video.
