Amazon Orders The Boys Script to Pilot

The streaming service Amazon ordered a pilot script from Supernatural creator Eric Kripke for The Boys. While Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg, who successfully bought Vertigo’s Preacher onto AMC, will serve as Executive Producers and direct the series pilot, with the studio looking for a straight to series order.

The Boys is based on the comic series originally appearing in Wildstorm Comics, which is now an Imprint of DC Comics and later Dynamite Entertainment, which do a lot of crossovers with DC Comics and create by Garth Ennis (Writer), who also created Preacher and Darick Robertson (Artist).

The series has been in development for a while now and was supposed to be a Cinemax series before landing with Amazon.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
