Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are really giving the fans what they want as they have decided to team up with Fathom Events and release their first R-rated animated film Batman: The Killing Joke, in theaters for two showings on July 25th, 2016 at 7:30pm and 10:00pm local times.
This comes as a surprise since the last time they released an animated DC film in theaters was in 1993 with Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm, which despite being considered one of the best Batman films, was a box office flop. This move by Warner Bros. and DC, is most likely fan service as opposed to a box office.
Tickets go on pre-order sale on June 17th, 2016 at FathomEvents.com, as well as participating theaters. Show your support for this event and we will most likely see more events like this.
