Billy Dee Williams played the role of Harvey Dent in the 1989 Tim Burton film Batman with Michael Keaton and has gone on record saying he only accepted the role because he wanted to eventually play Two-Face.
When Tim Burton stepped aside for Batman Forever and Joel Schumacher took the director reigns he was able to buy Billy Dee Williams out of his contract and cast Tommy Lee Jones as the character.
