According to Shazam! producer Peter Safran in an interview with ComicBook.com, fans should be able to see the standalone Black Adam movie before we see him share the screen with Zachary Levi’s Shazam, at least that’s what he believes will happen.
“Listen, we don’t know but I’ve gotta believe that there’s gonna be a standalone Black Adam movie before there’s ever a movie with Shazam and Black Adam sharing the screen”
Black Adam has had a standalone movie in the works since 2017 when it was officially announced that it was in the works with Dwayne Johnson attached to play the title role and serve as a producer.
At the moment Safran and Shazam! director David F. Sandberg are still attached to return for the Shazam! sequel, which still doesn’t have an official release date nor has it been officially green lighted by Warner Bros. to move forward, as of course the studio going to see how the first movie does at the box office before they mov forward.
