After FOX decided to pass on the Black Lightning series from Greg Berlanti, The CW decided to order a pilot starring Cress Williams in the title role and we now have confirmation that The CW has ordered it to series.
Black Lightning stars Williams as a retired superhero named Jefferson Pierce, who finds himself back in vigilante mode thanks to his justice-seeking daughter and the threat of a star student being recruited by a local gang. The series also stars Nefessa Williams (Code Black), China Anne McClain (Descendants 2), and Christine Adams (Terra Nova).

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten.
