Wonder Woman sequel producer Charles Roven confirmed in an interview with ComicBook.com that Warner Bros. is hoping to start filming the movie sometime this Summer, with the hopes of having the movie ready for release at the end of next year.
The news of the Wonder Woman sequel has been perviously reported to start production this Summer, but it was never confirmed by anyone directly attached to the movie, such as someone like Roven.
“We’re in what I would call development of the screenplay.” Roven explained. “We finally, I think, have a good story to tell. Not kind of – we do believe we have a good story to tell. And then we’re also just moving out of what normally we would call soft prep into hard prep. We’re hoping to start shooting the movie sometime this summer, and hope to have it out by the end of ’19.”
Patty Jenkins is set to return as director for Wonder Woman 2, with Gal Gadot returning as the title character, with the release date of November 1st, 2019.
